365 Days of Gratefulness | Day Three

FBdaythree-1I’m grateful for glimpses of beauty everywhere you look – even among weeds.   Just stop and look.

“Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them” [A. A. Milne]

What to join in on the 365 Days of Gratefulness challenge?  Find out the details here….

spring * Macro Monday

Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.

[Virgil Kraft]

For, lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of the singing of birds is come…
[Song of Songs 2:11 & 12]

Spring is my favorite season…  Seeing creation come to life again.  Hearing birds sing early in the morning.  The reappearance of color into the world.  I love it all….

Y’all tell me – What do you like most about spring? 🙂

love * Macro Monday

Today take time to think about the greatest Love of all: That God would send His only Son to save sinners.  “Amazing Love!”

Beloved, let us love one another:

For love is of God…

Every one that loveth is born of God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God;

For God is love.

Herein is love,

Not that we loved God,

But that he loved us,

And sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us,

We ought also to love one another.

[1st John 4]

Forever

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:

But the Word of our God shall stand for ever.

[Isaiah 40:8]

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
[Psalm 119:89]
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words
shall not pass away. [Matthew 24:35]
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever…
[1st Peter 1:25]

Macro Monday…. on Friday….

From now on Mondays are going to be all about “macro” here on chaiaddict… Thought you might like to know that.  🙂  I’m pretty excited about seeing life close up and personal, so I hope you’ll come along for the ride.  And yes, I know that today is Friday.

So to start everything off, here’s a macro of the lantana that’s in our front yard.

Wondrous Works

If someone were to ask me what I love most about photography it would be hard to give them one answer.  I love finding a different perspective on things- seeing things in a different way.  I love trying to capture someone’s personality.  I love telling a story with a series of images.  But if I had to pick just one thing I love about photography…. I think it would have to capturing creation.  The heavens really do declare the glory of God; nature bears witness of a Creator; a flower speaks of a of creativity that I could never begin to comprehend.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made…  Many, O LORD my God, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done…When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him? O LORD our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!  I will praise Thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all Thy marvelous works.
